Challenges and Advancements of AI Applications in National Security: An Interview with Chuck Brooks by Thalia Rodriguez

For this reason, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to sit down recently with one of the most recognized experts in the field of emerging technology and cybersecurity, Chuck Brooks.

For those in the know, Charles “Chuck” Brooks is a go-to subject matter expert in AI. His accolades include being named one of the “Top 5 Tech People to Follow on LinkedIn,” a “Top 50 Global Influ encer in Risk Compliance” by Thompson Reuters, and the “#2 Global Cybersecurity Influencer” by IFSEC, all thanks to his significant contributions to the indus try. Under Presidents George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan, Brooks held senior positions at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Voice of America, respectively. He was also a top advisor to the late Senator Arlen Specter on Capitol Hill, covering security and technology is sues. An adjunct professor at Georgetown University, as well as a regular columnist for FORBES, Chuck has also been a se nior executive at both General Dynamics and Xerox. The following interview with Chuck Brooks offers perspectives on the implications of AI for national security.
