Strategy In A Post-Pandemic World

As non-revenue generating entities within most corporate organizations, Security Departments have often struggled with understaffing, limited budgets, and antiquated technological resources. In fact, it’s rare that a Fortune 500 CEO, board of directors, or even public shareholders would ever ask the question, “So, how is the security department doing?” However, in response to the recent global pandemic, a situation which stifled commerce and put an emphasis on precautionary measures, many security departments were called into duty for responsibilities that they had never planned for. As such, a new type of security strategy has evolved to help businesses survive. Enter, Cognizant Security Strategy.

Developed by former CIA intelligence officers, Cognizant Security Strategy (CSS) is a fresh approach to the antiquated security methods no longer useful to organizations in a post-pandemic world. Security Departments have erroneously functioned in a reactionary – rather than proactive – role for decades. Much of this had to do with the fact that early security directors were typically retired law enforcement officers, who spent their careers as first responders.
